When
you visit a web page your computer
places a copy of the page on your
computer. When you go back to the
same page, your computer shows you
the copy it has made from your previous
visit, so it doesn't have to download
the information again (which takes
time.) You may not be seeing the most
recent version of each page.
To
be sure you are seeing the latest
version of a web page, you can select
(left click on) the REFRESH or RELOAD
button on your browser.
Or,
you can configure your browser to
do this automatically for you.
There
are several browsers available to
use to surf the Internet. The two
most common are:
|

Internet Explorer (IE)
|

Netscape Navigator |
If
you happen to be using AOL (America
On Line), I would strongly recommend
you get rid of it (ask me why when
you see me), but if you are using
it, after you make your Internet connection,
close the AOL browser and open up
IE or Netscape. You can download either
at their respective websites.
If
you have a MAC- you will have to translate
this into your terms. Sorry, I have
a PC.
