WICKLIFFE ITALIAN AMERICAN CLUB
MEMBERSHIP MEETING JULY 6, TH 2004

The club had a moment of silence for deceased member Tony Formica and Billy Fratena brother of Bert Fratena.

Meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by president Gino Latessa (55) members present. Roll call of officers and executive committee members present were Dom Olivo, Clarke Brassell Sr, Pete Vitantonio, John DiMatteo, Jim Vincent, Rick Continenza, Ray Sack and Anthony Continenza. Not present A.J.DiNunzio.

Minutes of the June 1, st 2004 were read and corrected .Don Gizzo moved Joe Chillemi seconded to approve, discussion motion passed. Minutes of the board meeting June 29 th , 2004 were read for record only.

Pete Vitantonio read the treasures report Frank Continenza moved Tony Fratino seconded to approve, discussion motion passed.

Gino read a letter from Janice Matteo for the Matteo memorial golf outing at Hemlock Springs Golf Resort on Aug 2 nd, 2004. It’s for the northern Ohio hemophilia foundation. They asked us to sponsor a hole the cost is $100.00. Richard DiCicco moved Steve Silvaroli seconded to approve, discussion motion passed.

Gino read a letter from one of our members who are involved with Deepwood Center for mental retardation. Their having a golf outing they asked us to sponsor a hole for $100.00 it’s on July 25 th, 2004 Joe Carroscia moved Pete Nunes seconded to approve, discussion motion passed.

Gino reported the next bocce tournament meeting is on July 7 th, 2004

At 6:00 p.m. club room.

Gino discussed the children during picnics they are digging holes in the bocce courts. He asked the members to keep an eye on the children, were also going to install a sand box.

Gino thanked Pete Formica and his son Frank, Don Albertone Frank and Matt Formica, Harvey Contenza and Regis Matiyasic . Also Pete Formica of bridle path for the fiber materials and A.J.Cement for donating it. For their work on the volley ball court.

Gino turned the meeting over to Ray Sack who discussed the new bathrooms. He said he would like to have them boxed in before the winter, he’s going to bid it out in pieces and also get a price on the whole job. If any of the members want to bid on it see him.

Gino said he is having a work party on July 23 rd 4:00 p.m. and 25 th at 9:00 a.m. to finish the piazza. It involves planting; we need shovels, rakes and volunteers.

Gino turned the meeting over to Tony Continenza. Who went over the letter he sent out to members asking them to sponsor the bocce tournament. He thanked the members for their patronage for the 2003 tournament.

Entertainment comm., Rick said the next steak roast is on July 12 th, 2004 at 6:00 p.m. The mid summer night dance is on July 31, 2004 he is going to start selling tickets for it on July 8, 2004 at bocce. Rick said he wants to make this year’s family picnic something special. He said so far we have sold 200 bricks 71 members have purchased them.

Golf comm., Gino said the next outing is on July 11, th 2004 at lost nation golf course, July 25 th, 2004 at briar dale and august 1, st 2004 at briar dale.

Scholarship comm., Pete read the report on the raffle.

Gino read thank you cards from Charles Seifert, Anthony Formica family and the Charles Carroscia family.
