Membership Meeting June 1 st, 2004

The club had a moment of silence for Edith Albertone grandmother of Mike Albertone, Charles Carroscia brother of Joe Caroscia and Viola Cirino sister of deceased member Nick Cirino.

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. By President Gino Latessa. (55) members present). Roll call of officers and executive committee member's present were Dom Olivo ,Clarke Brassell Sr., Pete Vitantonio, John DiMatteo , Ray Sack and Rick Continenza. Not present Jim Vincent, Anthony Continenza and A.J.Dinunzio.

Minutes of the May 4 th, 2004 meeting were read and corrected. Joe Lucarelli moved Rick DiCicco seconded to approve, discussion motion passed. Minutes of the board meeting on May 25 th ,2004 were read for record only.

Pete Vitantonio read the treasurers report; Phil Simon moved Paul DiCicco seconded to approve, discussion motion passed.

Gino read the report from Shine and Company on our audit it came back good he thanked Pete Vitantonio and John DiMatteo for their fine job.

Gino read a thank you letter from the Special Olympics.

Gino said were going to call our members who haven’t purchased a paver for the piazza yet to remind them.

Gino said the next bocce tournament meeting is June 2 nd , 2004 at 6:30 p.m. club room.

Gino reported Ray Sack and Harvey Contenza are working with Paul Kopp the architect on the remodeling of the bathrooms at the club room.

Gino said Pete Formica will be starting the work on the volleyball court soon.

Gino read a list of bocce tournaments that are coming up this summer. The lists are up front for those who want them.

Gino mentioned the Joey Caroscia benefit which is on June 20 , th 2004 . Its starts at 1:00 p.m. it‘s to help pay for his hospital treatments. Everyone is invited to come, their also selling raffle tickets.

Gino said the dedication of the piazza will be held at the club's family picnic on Aug 8 th, 2004.

Gino read a flier from James Catering, he is having a 50‘s, 60‘s dance at the party center June 19 th, 2004. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. buffet style dinner served at 7:00 p.m. D.J., open bar cost is $18.50 per person. Call James catering for reservations.

Gino read a thank you card from the Henry Tarabasso family.

Bocce comm., Gino thanked the court crew for their fine job on the courts.

Entertainment comm. Rick said the seafood festival is on September 18, th 2004. The first steak roast is on June 14 th, 2004 ,the mid-summer night dance is on July 31,2004.

Golf com, Gino said the next outing is on June 6, th 2004 at Briardale Golf Course and also June 27 th, 2004 at Briardale.

Scholarship comm., Anthony said he needs help selling side boards. Be here at 5:00 p.m. Raffle starts at 6:00 p.m. please turn your extra tickets in tonight.
